Public Service Message regarding CoVid 19- How to triage your own symptoms

Please use the flow chart below to determine whether or not you should go to the hospital. Download the Chart here: !Influenza _ Coronavirus Flow Chart BPC

Remember:

  1. One of the big concerns right now is the potential for overwhelming hospitals, doctors, and emergency personnel.
  2. There is no treatment for mild cases. Severe cases require hospitalization, and respirators. If you have a mild case, stay in, drink lots of fluids. See: CDC Website
  3. You can determine for yourself what your symptoms are, and reduce the potential to overwhelm hospitals and at doctors’ offices.

Please share this graphic; in working together, we can help the people with most severe cases get the necessary treatment.

This chart was created by Dr. Jeff O’Boyle, a Direct Primary Care Physician. His website is beyondprimarycare.com/

“Direct Primary Care” means the doctor works directly for the patient.

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a model of health care gaining popularity around the country. Some people call it “blue collar concierge care” because it’s like a concierge practice for the working person, meaning affordable!  By cutting out the middleman (the insurance company), doctors can focus directly on the patient, improving access to care and keeping costs down.

For a low, predictable monthly fee per individual- about the same as a cell phone or cable plan, you will have access to YOUR personal doctor for all primary care needs, including virtually unlimited office visits.  There are no additional copays, deductibles, or surprise hidden charges for visits. With a smaller patient base, Beyond Primary Care practices routinely offers same day access, minimal waits, and longer appointments for your annual check-up or urgent care needs. When medically appropriate, many issues can be managed over the phone or via messaging, without an office visit – saving time and money. Phone calls are forwarded directly to your own physician after hours.
